The TLK-30, 30cm African Talking Drum. One the most expressive of the West African drums. The sound mimics human speech, hence its name. It is an hourglass shaped drum, with two goatskin drum heads on opposite sides that are connected by natural or synthetic tension cords which will change the pitch up and down by squeezing the cords between the arm and the body. A curved stick allows the drum to be played comfortably. An excellent addition to any percussionist’s arsenal of sounds. These drums will also appeal to collectors, due to their unique and interesting look.
